Situated within the Rangebank Business Park in Melbourne’s southeast, the Rangebank Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) provides 200MW / 400MWh capacity of reliable and flexible energy to Victorians since its completion in late 2024.
Jointly developed by Eku Energy and Shell Energy with minority equity partner, Perfection Private, the grid-scale battery helps to increase Victoria’s renewable energy hosting capacity and provides essential system services that support the safe, secure and reliable operation of Australia’s energy system.
Every project we develop starts with listening to local communities and ends with delivering shared value that lasts for generations.
