About
Tramway Road BESS

There is nothing better than going to local markets to get a real sense of the local community. In May 2025 we spent a whole day at our stall at the Churchill markets, talking to many from around the area and introducing Tramway Road BESS. We are also grateful for the strong connection we have built with GLaWAC, the Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation who are the Traditional Owners of the land where Tramway Road BESS will deliver clean energy. It is a great organisation and we are looking forward to working with GLaWAC over the next few years.

Located at 675 Monash Way, Hazelwood North, Tramway Road BESS was grated Development Approval in October 2025. Construction will start in late 2026. Once in operation in early 2028, Tramway Road BESS will support the growth of renewable energy in Gippsland, including the future development of offshore wind in Gippsland, while helping Victoria reach its net zero emissions goals.
