About
Wagga South BESS

Wagga South BESS is located within the Wagga Wagga City Council (WWCC) Local Government Area (LGA) in the suburb of Gregadoo, about 14km south of the centre of Wagga Wagga. The area around Gregadoo plays a pivotal role in the interconnection between the Victorian and NSW power systems, supporting energy security and grid stability of the NEM.

A Community Benefit Sharing program will be designed in collaboration with community including local First Nations community and Wagga Wagga City Council in accordance with the DPHI guidance for State Significant Development projects and guided by our Powering Big Dreams investment principles. We will share updates as soon as they become available.

The project is anticipated to be operational in 2030 and will generate electricity into the National Electricity Market (NEM) NSW/VIC Region with a proposed operational life of 20+ years.
